Writer & Teacher

A longtime member of the San Francisco Writers’ Grotto, Zoe has been part of the Bay Area’s writing scene since her memoir, Imperfect Endings (Simon&Schuster), was published in 2010. She has taught memoir  -- and songwriting – at the Grotto and at Left Margin Lit as well as at writing retreats and conferences from Hawaii to Vermont.

While music and songwriting are currently her focus, she continues to write op-eds and think pieces, many of them focusing on family and race, and is at work on a Nick Hornby-esque novel about male musicians from a female perspective, entitled Tambourine Men.
